Yoga/Exercise Classes and Workshops

Yoga is an ancient practice that involves the combination of physical poses, focus and concentration and breathing. The practice of yoga can cultivate improved health and wellbeing (physical, emotional, mental and social) through the regular practice of a range of many different technique, including various postures and movement, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation.

At Renew Physio and Yoga we want to provide everyone the opportunity to find a way of practicing that suits their current physical and emotional needs.  When you are guided by a qualified physiotherapist and yoga teacher you can have a better understanding of how to practice,  accommodate, modify and then improve your current issues.

At Renew Physio & Yoga we offer yoga classes, yoga workshops, private yoga therapy sessions and/or private group classes.

At Renew Physio and Yoga we also offer group exercise utilising all forms of therapeutic exercise which allows you perform your tailor made exercise program under the supervision of a physiotherapist.  This way modifications and progressions can be easily made to assist you in achieving your health goals



Regular Classes

Gentle Exercise Class

Perfect for those who may feel like taking things a bit easier given their current physical capabilities or underlying injury, be a little more physically challenged or a little more mature.  It combines a very gentle chair-based exercise incorporating flexibility, range of motion, stretching and balance

Easy Flow

Perfect for yogis at any level who feel like a smooth, simple vinyasa flow. It combines the connection of breath with movement and a flow to encourage flexibility, stability, balance and strength.

Easy Flow and Slow 

Also suits yogis at any level.  It combines a simple vinyasa flow and then we  follow that up with yin based poses that allow you to focus a little more on flexibility and range of motion as well as calming the mind and body.  The perfect balance of activation and relaxation

Tailored Group Exercise – Renew and Restore

Group exercise classes are offered for those recovering from injury or are wanting to progress their current physical fitness under the guidance of a physiotherapist.  An Initial Physiotherapy Consultation is required prior to commencing this class to enable an appropriate program to be developed to suit your needs

Foundations of Yoga – 6 Week Workshop

This course is the perfect introduction to yoga if you are a beginner and would like to try yoga for yourself. Perhaps you have been hesitant to try yoga as you were a little intimidated by attending a class or thought you weren’t “flexible enough”. Essentially if you can breathe you can do yoga!

The focus during the 6-week course is to lay the foundation behind the principles of yoga, introduce key poses and help you gain greater body awareness and enable you to modify these poses to suit you and any physical challenges you may currently have. It is all about improving your health and well-being, and creating a sustainable practice you enjoy.

We will focus on Hatha based yoga. Over the six weeks we will cover:

  • Some of the history and philosophy of yoga,
  • The importance of the breath and breathing practices (Pranayama)
  • A brief introduction to meditation and mindfulness
  • Correct body mechanics, motor patterns and alignment of key yoga poses.

On completion of the course, you will have the confidence and the know-how to step into any yoga class and get your flow on!

The classes are intentionally capped with a small number of participants to ensure your instructor can provide the supervision and attention you may need. It also allows you and your fellow students to ask plenty of questions.

As this course provides 1:1 supervision by a physiotherapist you may be eligible to claim this on your extras cover via your Health Insurance Provider as a group exercise class.


Yoga Foundations Course – 6 weeks (1 hour per week): $210

Private 1:1 Yoga Class with Physiotherapist – Yoga Therapy

Have your yoga session designed specifically for you. This may be to accommodate recovery from injury or illness or you just prefer to work one on one.  This will include a full initial assessment and development of a program that addresses your strengths and weaknesses, range of motion, mobility and balance keeping in mind your physical and emotional goals.

A rebate may be available with your health insurance extras physiotherapy cover.


Private yoga session (one-on-one): $120 per hour

8Private Group Yoga Class – with Physiotherapist

If you have a small group (2-8 people) of family, friends or colleagues that you would like to practice regularly with, at a time that suits you, then a private group class may be the perfect option for you.

You and your family/friends will receive a more personalised experience, with closer supervision that offers verbal or physical adjustments (with your consent) to correct alignment, biomechanics and cue modifications that may be necessary to ensure a safe yet challenging class.

It can be more tailored to the group’s yoga level and the goals you may be setting for yourselves.
