About Renew Physio and Yoga

At Renew Physio and Yoga our goal is to work with you to treat and manage injury and support you in creating a sustainable exercise program or yoga practice tailored to the ever changing needs of your body.  We’ll work with you to:

  • recover/rebuild from an injury with a comprehensive physio assessment and treatment plan.
  • re-establish good function with a rehabilitation plan or  pain management plan.
  • restore good health, flexibility, mobility and wellbeing with yoga classes and workshops, or
  • revive your strength, stability and function through tailored exercise 

Located in Coorparoo, we are a local practice providing space for you (our community) to Restore ~ Revive ~ Rebuild and connect with others pre and post classes.

About Melissa Clark

Melissa Clark is the Principal Physiotherapist and Director at Renew Physio & Yoga. Melissa has over 20 years’ experience working as a physiotherapist and has vast experience in many facets of Physiotherapy.

Melissa has a keen interest in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy as well as rehabilitation and persistent pain management and has a passion to guide her patients and clients to achieve optimum wellbeing. She has a background in spinal rehabilitation and persistent pain management and has worked closely with neuro-surgeons and orthopaedic surgeons to assist in the pre and post-operative management and rehabilitation. Melissa also has a special interest in headaches and has additional training with the Watson Headache Institute. More recently Melissa has completed her 350hr Yoga Teacher training as she believes that the principles and philosophy of yoga are a perfect compliment to her treatment style. She believes in the mind-body connection and the importance of movement and breath to improve and maintain function.

Melissa herself practices yoga regularly and has always believed in the importance of maintaining her fitness, health and wellbeing. She is also an avid sports lover and No 1 fan for both her children’s sports.

Melissa is a keen believer in injury prevention, exercise management and self-management and believes you are never too old to start and develop a program and practice that can be used now and into the future.
